David Fathalikhani joins the Equus Growth team to lead the Operational Excellence vertical, partnering with healthcare owners and leadership teams to turn strategy into repeatable execution. David brings a decade of clinical experience across outpatient physical therapy and a track record of building, scaling, and operationalizing growth. He combines an entrepreneurial mindset with an operator’s rigor to build the systems, processes, and accountability that make growth sustainable.
David founded and scaled multiple private practices in Colorado across orthopedics, sports medicine, and multidisciplinary geriatric care, growing to a regional presence across the Front Range prior to a successful equity exit. Most recently, he served as Director of Operations and Head of Growth for a health tech startup, helping build the operational foundation and develop a tech stack that enhances virtual and in-person care delivery for allied health professionals nationwide.
Across healthcare, David is passionate about organizational leadership and operational excellence; strengthening operating rhythms, improving efficiency, and building the systems required to scale without sacrificing quality. David earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health from The Ohio State University and completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
Stephanie Wakeman is a digital health innovator and clinical leader with decades of experience advancing patient care at the intersection of technology, prevention, and musculoskeletal health. A pioneer in virtual care long before telehealth became mainstream, Stephanie helped shape many of the digital workflows and clinical models that are now foundational across the industry.
For the past 4.5 years, Stephanie has served as a senior leader in clinical innovation at a cutting-edge digital health startup, where she drove initiatives that reimagined patient engagement, enhanced clinical efficiency, and delivered measurable improvements in outcomes. Her work blends deep clinical expertise with a passion for scalable solutions that empower both patients and providers.
Previously, Stephanie spent several decades as a practicing physical therapist specializing in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. Known for championing efficient, evidence-driven workflows, she consistently elevated care quality, therapist performance, and patient satisfaction across the organizations she served.
Stephanie’s contributions span a wide breadth of transformative work, including:
- Leading crowd-sourced studies using heart rate variability (HRV) to advance preventive MSK practices
- Co-developing predictive health risk profiles that support proactive and personalized care
- Managing and mentoring digital health therapy teams to uphold excellence in virtual care delivery

- Creating and delivering training programs that help clinicians seamlessly adopt digital tools

Jerry Durham is a healthcare leader and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in physical therapy and over two decades of business ownership, consulting, and coaching. He has built a reputation for transforming patient engagement by focusing on the crucial role of front desk teams in driving scheduling, arrivals, and retention.
Beginning his career as a licensed physical therapist, Jerry went on to found and scale San Francisco Sport & Spine Physical Therapy, later known as Agile Physical Therapy, where he spent nearly two decades building a respected outpatient platform. Today, as Founder of Client Experience Company, he partners with healthcare practices and software organizations to enhance the patient lifecycle, improve clinical outcomes, and strengthen business performance.
